On 15 July 2026, the Kazakhstan–China Business Forum: Transport & Logistics Cooperation and E-Commerce – New Technologies, New Opportunities was officially convened in Shanghai. As an important supporting economic and trade event arranged during the state visit of the President of Kazakhstan to China, the forum was co-organised by the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan and JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, aiming to deepen full industrial-chain collaboration between China and Kazakhstan across transport logistics, multimodal transport and cross-border e-commerce sectors.
Jiangsu Haizhongzhou Shipping Industry Co., Ltd. received an official invitation to the forum and appointed Mr. Lu Feng, Commercial Director of the company, as its representative to attend the event. Mr. Lu exchanged views with officials from competent authorities, transport & logistics operators, tech service providers and investment institutions of both sides. Against the backdrop of sweeping shifts in global supply chains, participants jointly explored approaches to elevate bilateral cooperation in logistics connectivity, multimodal transport and e-commerce businesses.
A formal signing ceremony was staged during the forum, with Chinese and Kazakh enterprises signing a batch of key cooperation documents. The multi-purpose container vessel construction agreement inked between KTZ Express LLP and Jiangsu Haizhongzhou Shipping Industry Co., Ltd. stood out as a core achievement. This cooperation marks a pivotal step for the Middle Corridor to address cross-Caspian maritime constraints, reinforce infrastructure capacity and lift the overall carrying capacity of international intermodal transport services.

- Joint development of the Middle Corridor
JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, China Railway Container Transport Co., Ltd., COSCO Shipping Lines Co., Ltd. and Lianyungang Port Holding Group signed a cooperation agreement to jointly facilitate the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.
- Port-rail linkage upgrading
KTZ Express LLP signed framework cooperation documents together with information interaction and electronic data interchange agreements with Lianyungang Port Holding Group, consolidating the digital operation foundation for China-Kazakhstan sea-rail intermodal transport.
- Digital transformation of corridor operation
JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, Global DTC Kazakhstan and Naizhi Intelligent Technology signed a Tripartite Framework Agreement. The rollout of the Terminal Operating System (TOS) will advance digital upgrading for the Middle Corridor, maritime shipping and inland dry ports. Separately, China Railway Container Transport Co., Ltd. and KTZ Express LLP signed an Electronic Data Interchange Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen digital support for China-Kazakhstan China-Europe block train services.
- Cross-border infrastructure connectivity
Aktau International Commercial Sea Port of Kazakhstan awarded a dredging engineering contract to China Harbour Engineering Company Limited. Meanwhile, Kedentransservice JSC signed a cooperation memorandum with China Harbour Engineering Company Limited.
Focusing on corridor upgrading, railway partnership, digital document circulation, cross-border e-commerce and full-process optimisation of multimodal transport, the forum delivered tangible and high-value cooperation results, laying a solid long-term cooperation framework for China and Kazakhstan in the transport and logistics sector.
Kazakh officials and logistics operators present held in-depth discussions on vessel specifications, construction schedules and delivery arrangements. Jiangsu Haizhongzhou Shipping Industry Co., Ltd. stated it will strictly control quality and progress to ensure timely delivery, supporting KTZ Express Shipping LLC’s fleet expansion and strengthening infrastructure along the China-Kazakhstan logistics corridor.
The participation enhanced the brand reputation of Jiangsu Haizhongzhou Shipping Industry Co., Ltd. in Central Asia and built a vital platform for long-term China-Kazakhstan maritime and logistics cooperation.
