In October,13,to enhance safety awareness and improve emergency response capabilities, Jiangsu Haizhongzhou Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. organized a comprehensive emergency drill within the shipyard premises, in collaboration with local fire and medical departments.
The drill simulated a "fire" scenario in the dock area caused by hot work operations. The entire process, from the initial discovery of the fire by on-site workers and immediate firefighting efforts and reporting, to the activation of the emergency response plan by the shipyard's emergency command center, the organization of personnel evacuation and medical rescue, and finally the coordinated efforts with external rescue forces to complete the fire extinguishing mission, was carried out in a tense yet orderly manner, with seamless coordination between all stages.
This drill tested the feasibility and effectiveness of the shipyard's emergency response plan while honing the emergency reaction and collaborative capabilities of employees at all levels. Following the drill, the Safety Director conducted a thorough review of the process, identifying areas for improvement in aspects such as information transmission and casualty evacuation.
"Safety is the number 1, everything else are the zeros that follow," the shipyard's General Manager reiterated during the summary. "We must always remain vigilant about safety, and through regular training and drills, truly integrate the concept of safe production into our daily work."
